A battery disconect switch is a great and cheap security feature. I've had them on many of my cars. Gonna order one soon from a Corvette catalog I have. Think they cost about $10 for the disconect switch and there is a device that gives just enough voltage to keep the settings on your radio. There are two types, one is installed on the battery and the other uses a 9volt battery and conects to your cigarette lighter. It's around the same price. If you want I could get more info for ya.
How about this? unplug the orange connector at the battery, car will crank but wont start. i have done this a few times when the car has been sitting and i want to get some oil flowing before start up. of course you would be losing your computer memory everytime you do that. hope this makes sense.

don't worry about it. not even the best thief can steal these cars with Passkey unless they are carrying around an interigator which is a tool used by the dealership to diagnose passkey systems. My sister's 89 GTA had been broken into and the column tore apart by professionals who'd escaped from prison but they couldn't get around the passkey system so they ended up stealing a truck down the street for the getaway. We also just had a 95 Z28 broken into the same way here at the dealership where I work and they suffered the same fate. you'd think these guys would know what cars have it and which don't. Without sending the correct code to the computer, it won't work and it'd take an hour to get in there and bypass the system because the module is between the a/c ducting and the firewall behind the instrument panel where you can't reach it. The system disables the starter and the injectors.

I have a steel locking clamp that wraps around the steering column that protects the whole starting mech that lives in the steering column. Short of being towed its not going anywhere
I simply disconnected the battery and removed both heads and the car simply wont start, furthermore it is parked in a garage and there is a dog that loves to bark and an owner with a 12 gauge that loves to raise the average IQ in Arizona
hahahaha all neat ways to stop from startin BUT snakeskinner hit it on the head!!!! plain an simple!!!! wait till the system screws up on your cars an your tryin to start it
and like the old sayin goes "if they want it bad enuff they will get it"
