We learnt a lot from Bill and Scott back in 2011 at the reunion; and I have had the pleasure to catch up with Bill several times over that past couple of years in person as well.
What is on the forum per your post above is what was in the public domain for years, from a magazine article originally .... however we learnt that due to internal politics, budget issues and what not some details were never publicly known for various reasons and one being that Pontiac Engineering where doing the engineering work etc. however in reality it was Bill Owen and very few people @ Buick Powertrain together with the people @ Prototype Automotive Services ... this were kept very quite with no paper trails or anything or project would have been stopped most likely and some people might have got into trouble back then as well.
Lots of much more details behind all this that even Bill found out much later and now understand why things were kept at a very low profile with regards to his involvement, no mention of Buick Powertrains involvement and limited official support etc. along with the "official" version that Pontiac Engineering did all the work (heck they apparently didn't even have people that could do it) ...
