I know it sounds crazy but it feel's like the rear tire's are spinning on the rims @ wot from a dig, anybody ever heard of this ? Fwiw i have a AC n/l and detroit locker with 373 gears...
 
Cool! Wish mine still felt like that!

I'd recommend getting some white marking of some sort and mark both the tires and rims. Go out and launch it like you normally would and see if the tires are spinning on the rims. Unless your a super high HP car, I wouldn't suspect it is. Your probably just leaving black marks down the road with those 3.73 gears.

What's your combo engine wise? E85?

That is exactly what happens with my rubber, it spins on the rim. Like Raymond says I use white shoe polish to mark the rubber and rim, you can then see how far the rubber moves on the rim. mine moved a couple inches, I can measure and post pic later if needed.

What did you do to fix it ? I usually run 18-20psi, even on the street with 255 M/T dr's.

No E85 just 93/Alky single noz., TE62 jb, 212/212 ft and a whole page of other chit...:D
 
Boy you'd really ,really have to be hittin' em hard to get the wheel to turn in the tire.

Jarred's I can imagine, but a drag radial at that psi? I'd say Raymond's right and your just spinning the tires.

Kevin's GN has lifted both both front tires and he doesn't turn the rim inside the tire and he's a high 10 car.
 
This car hits like a mofo.. (ask Jan) I have looked back before when it felt like it was spinning and no tire marks, tire smoke, nothing.. i could be wrong but i don't think so. When i get time to change a few things i will mark the tire and rim and go for a spin.
 
you have to screw the tires to the wheel ! Sumitt makes a kit with gold screws and a template
 
Just to clarify when i feel it.. i have a RJC bc so there is no bleed off and boost comes full on, its that split second before it does light the tires up that i feel it.. if that makes sense..
 
I would be surprised if you could spin the rim on them on the street, a prepped track would be another story.
 
I doubt they are spinning on the rim. It takes a sub 1.6 to even start that problem.
If for some reason they are spinning.... 8 screws ea. on the inside of the rims will do it. Moroso sells the grade 8 screws.
You can also use a bead glue, but it requires the tires off the rim.
 
This is my tire spin on the rim, with a 1.5 sixty foot, tta/measap probably has more with his 1.4 sixty foot.

I use rim screws on the inside lips. I swipe them with shoe polish for the first time out to make sure tho.
I forgot to mention getting them balanced after putting screws in.
Jarred, look like you need them too. lol
