It's like anything else for the TTA...trying to get people to buy it. You're dealing with a very, very limited audience.
There's an old saying and I'll re-quote it for racing..."How do you make a small fortune in racing? Start with a large fortune." :wall:
The same could be said for trying to make or sell anything to such a small number of people, no matter how enthusiastic they are. Could you imagine quitting your job for 3-6 months (at a minimum) and financing the entire operation all while you have no current source of income? People would call you crazy and for good reason. :crazy:
Don't get me wrong...I'm still on this forum after selling my car more than 7 years ago. And many, many years ago I considered writing something about the TTA. At first the thought was maybe an article. Later I thought, why not a book? Then reality kicked in. Ask George (Mr. TurboTA) how much he's made from his Trans Am books over the years? The reality is you're not going to get rich diving into a project like that. In fact, it's probably the opposite.
So long story short it's not worth it unless someone has a real love for the subject AND is independently wealthy enough that they just need a hobby to keep them busy. So if you've got some Oprah money and some time on your hands, then by all means have at it.
I'll step down off my soapbox now. :whistle:

I understand what you've said. I admire your dedication to this site after selling your car. I was thinking more everybody on this site who can contribute...time materials skill video audio...we could accomplish anything. I also wasnt looking at making money. You're a good guy ron and im glad to have met you and that you're part of this site.

Don't worry I've spoke with Andrew many times (director of the documentary) and he knows if he does another project it's going to have the TTA's in it. We actually spoke about doing something like the TTA / TY / and SY format kinda like this is where the GN's ideas went. The GN in all the b roll on the film is my car. Did 4 days of shooting with Andrew. Maybe we need another TTA reunion to give him some footage of cars! 
I've had a saying for a while, and I may have heard this somewhere before so I'm not saying it's original.
You can solve most problems with 1 of 2 things.
Time or money.
If you've got enough time then it's not a problem.
If you've got enough money then it's not a problem.
If you've got enough time & money then it's not a problem.
Trouble is that most of us don't have the time or money for a project like this.
I wasn't saying it's all about making money. For something like this it's more about spending money. And you've gotta make the money before you can spend it. And have the time to make the money and make the project. It's a vicious circle.
But I did enjoy the film and bought a copy for myself and for my brother. I commend him on a job well done.

Yep, making stuff for TTA's is a good way to lose your ass, just ask Rich (Bigdogtta), Jim Dunn was smart about it and only make's a DP when you order it...
Yep, exactly my point. First rule in Business 101 is you go into business to stay in business. How do you stay in business? By turning a profit. How do you turn a profit? By selling to the masses. It's sad but true. That's why you can buy tons of gobblygook (a technical term) to bedazzle (another tech term) your Corvette and the owners eat that stuff up. It's also why you can buy a carbon fiber hood for your Honda Civic for $250. :wall:
