Battery Terminals

Does anyone have a pict of their battery terminals? I took my battery out today and the negative bolt will not come out of the terminal. It looks to be built in. The positive terminal had a large gold bolt which I do not belongs on the vehicle... Thanks

ya , GM sidepost terminals are built into the cable but can be removed by prying the plastic and poping them out.

Can u buy replacement bolts?

You can get just the bolts at any parts store (Autozone, Napa etc) just double check the lenght on the ones you get.

look for something like these: Chevy– Rat Rod Roadster GM Battery Lug Bolts | eBay

For the "gold" one; there's aftermarket kits for upgraded stereos etc that just "better" bolts as part of their kits and also the racetronix fuel pump harness comes with them if I remember correct (I never used them on mine).

I think they repackaged it since I bought it so the battery ground kit you pay extra for and that's where the bolts are included, I got everything in my kit (no instructions as well ...) when I bought mine many years ago but never used those extra bits to keep it stock looking.
