bad caliper?

I have a driver's side pull when I brake. I took the wheel off and the inside pad is wearing much faster that the outside pad. It is also shearing off, as if it is really hot. Is this a sign of a bad caliper? The rear driver's side is equal, so I do not think it is a proportioning valve. I only noticed this after I put on the Earl's brake kit. The brake guys said it's because before the kit, it wasn't grabbing as hard so I wouldn't have noticed it as much. What do you think? Car only has 30,000 miles...

first try bleeding the brakes again, a bubble will cause that, also if the outside pad is wearing faster than the inside you need to clean everything really good since the caliper isnt sliding in and out easily.
