2400 mile tta on ebay check it out

Yes this is the Best of Show Car that sold for $33K.
 
The white paint on the hood rubber bump stops are correct as they were on the car when they were painted; so the hood would stay open just slightly hence the white overspray on them.

If no paint on them they either been replaced or paint removed to clean them up ... so if you repaint your car you might want to consider some paint on them as well at the same time (I didn't).

That seems like a very good deal on a 2400 mile car. Can't believe these cars are not worth at least that or a bit more for ultra low mileage examples.
When you see the prices of GNX's or low mileage GN's, 24G seems like a deal.
I am understanding a bit more of the issue though having had my TTA to a local car show & a few cruises. They just do not draw all that much attention, or combination of most people do not know what they are. I get " nice GNX" all the time in my T-Top GN, even by car guys that should know better. I had my TTA at a local cruise night last week & it drew almost no attention, took my 66 GTO to the same show & people were on it all night.
Interesting that you show a muscle car that they made over 70,000 copies of in various body styles in just one year alone & people flock to it. Show a car that only 1555 copies were made & almost none in Canada & they walk right past, yawn another Firebird.
I would have to think that these cars would start to hold their own, at least in these parts there are not even that many nice 80's vintage F bodies left.

I bought 1397 sight unseen .. but i knew it was going to be a street strip car thought i still ended up getting a deal ... funny thing is his 12yr old daughter said daddy i bet there isnt antother tta in SC so i had to take the cover off 299 lol
 
I drove to dearborne michigan got there abt 2 am to get 299 guy said he would have to make sure my certified check was good then send me the title ... told him i was leaving with car and title or heading back to sc with an empty trailer ... when we picked up my bros vette he said he had to go to the bank ... so i was there with his nice looking wife for an hr ... he told my bro he had 6 checks that bounced asked him if he wanted them too my brother said hell no

I have experienced this also. Most people think its just a GTA. Especially if you dont have the decals on the doors. But there are a few people that know its something special when they see whats under the hood.:clap:

Yep , i walked around taking pics at the show all the while looking at people look at the tta, all of them did the same thing, looked at the eng., looked at the decal on the side , eng again around the car again then back to the invoice on the dash, shake there head and walk on. they made too many of them to be rare, not enough to be well known, can we as a group make a impact ?? maybe, maybe not, the jury is still out imo :eam:
 
Sold for $22,750. Wow thats cheap for a 2400 mile TTA. Just goes to show you, the market is in the toilet and these like other cars are not worth the $30K plus like some folk's have asked.

Ya that was a deal. I would have bought it at the buy it now price but what would I do with another one. I hate to pass up a good deal though,.....

Who ever bought that got a great car at a great price.

Hopefully they come onto the board.
 
He was hurting for money and wanted a quick sale, listed twice and kept lowering the BIN every other day till it sold. Best way to find 'em! Was a steal for sure, looks like I'll be keeping mine around or just start driving it since its nicer than my daily driver!
 
Doesn't mean they are not worth more just mean's not many can afford them, which make's the people that can think that they deserve to buy them for half of the asking price just cause they have the cash. Ask the same person that bought one cheap a week later what it's worth and suddenly it's the same price they said it wasn't worth :rolleyes:
 
IMO plain and simple.... A car is only worth what a person is willing to pay for it!!! Here was a brand new 2400 mile TTA that was on ebay several times and never broke $23K worldwide.:rolleyes: No the cars are not worth what they were a few years back. The economy is crap.

Still depends on where you are located. The U.S. is a little slower than up here & clean southern cars always seem to pull a little more money here. If you use the idea that most guys try to buy cars with a little profit built into the purchase, someone figures it`s still worth around $25G.
The 72 hour deal also hurts classic car sales coming out of the U.S.
 
FWIW,while searching for mine,I wanted one between 10-16k miles.Was trying to nail one around $20k.If I did not have mine,when this car was at BIN for $23,995,I would have been all over it,then there is plane flight,and shipping back from Texas to me here in CT.So most likely would have been into it all said and done for $27k.Those who were local to this car,IMO,a steal !!!!!
Heck,I deeply considered buying it anyway,and would have worried about selling mine after thye fact.But I am restoring another one of my cars that I am going to be pouring money into,so I did'nt.
Again,I think this car was a steal.Find a GN with those miles and you'd pay more !!!!!!
