0 mile TTA!!!

Man I am bored at work and just reading the registry and there are two cars on there with ZERO miles???

What the heck man/?? How could you own a car and not even put one mile on it? And if you did put one mile on it you would know that you were the one who drove a car that no one has driven for 21 YEARS EVER!! How could you live with yourself after that?? But then.... why own the car??? if your not going to drive it???

I don't drive two of my ttas much at all, but I start them and change the oil and stuff. Would you change the oil on a 21 year old car that has zero miles?? Why the oil can't be dirty, but it is way past the 3 months..... so you should change it right??? but why you aren't gonna drive the car??

As cool as a 0.0 mile tta would be to have I dunno if I could handle it. WHat if something fell on it and scratched it and now you have a scratched car and you never even drove it??

The only reason I can handle my two cars that I don't drive much is cause I have two others that I drive the piss out of. I want to drive my tta 733 to vegas but the a/c is not super cold so my gf wont let me. I drove that car all the way from Chicago and it is awsome on road trips. She can forget it next summer cause I have to drive a tta to Hebron.

SO what would you pay for a 0 mile tta??

What would a 0 mile tta be worth/?

For me not much more than I paid for my 9,200 mile car. I drive my car and Lord willing I live 10 more years I'll have 50,000 - 60,000 miles on the car. It is a BLAST to drive ... once I'm dead my kids can sell it.

Value of 0 mile TTA? OK ... $25,000 (to me)

I couldn't agree more. We got my TTA a little over 6 years ago with 16k miles on it. The car now has 29k on it and is about ready to turn 30k if I remember correctly (to be honest I haven't driven it much lately since I've been out of state during the summers away from school). However, I feel the car hasn't depreciated at all while I've been driving it, if anything it may have gained a little value.

I'll continue to drive the car, anything between 30k-60k miles isn't going to make much difference in the price when it's been well maintained and you can take it to original.

When I was searching for a TTA, I wanted something that was still really nice, but not pristine. That way I wouldnt feel bad about driving it and putting some miles on the odometer. Plus a mid mileage one was what I could afford. I guess if you have more than 1 TTA, you have choices. One with zero miles or only a few would just be an ornament, and besides once you drive a turbo car, you just want to keep driving. The temptation is too great.

when I was on the hunt for mine, I came across a bunch for sale, but the 7mile and 15 mile ones caught my attention, but the $49,900 price tag left me a little COLD, but I did call the 7 mile guy and asked him how the hell can you own a car for 15 year(at that time) and not drive it??!! His reply was " I start it and back it down the driveway, then back in the garage to move the fluids ..... and I bought 2 .... the other one 200,000 miles on her when I sold her" Guess that would explain WHY it only had 7 miles on it !! but just to get what you paid for it 15+ years later .... not the greatest return on investment !!!

The wife and I are on the fence about the reunion next year, whether we go, if so drive the TTA or trailer her ... but I LOVE driving her !!! in 6 years I've put 10,000 miles on her just puttering around here, going to the track, car shows, cruises what not ... mind you this year I have put more miles on than usual since I started a new car club ..... can't be the pres and not go !!
and I have 5 toys to choose from.

Rob you should totally drive to hebron, I am gonna for sure!!! I don't have a truck or trailer to haul the car, so Im drivin. If I did I'd prolly bring the hard top car, but I am thinkin I'll drive my other car, that has 60k miles already so a few more wont hurt.

THe only way to not drive a tta once you have had a taste is two have two!! Otherwise I don't know how anyone could resist the sound of the turbo never mind the acceleration.

I ran into a guy in Florida a few years back. Not into the internet and all that fancy stuff he told me, but he bought 3 brand new TTA's in the wrapper back in 89. One hardtop leather, One cloth t top and one leather top. They are ALL in the wrapper in a climate controlled garage to this day! Some folks buy cars just to admire them like a fine piece of art work. If you paid a lot for a piece of art work I'm sure you would not drag it around to friends homes to show them all the time! So they look at cars in a different way then most do. I can respect that and 20 years down the road it's even more exciting when those cars pop up at places like Barret Jackson and I can admire it all over again.

I have found with the TTA my car LOVES to be driven. The more I drive that car the more it wants to be driven. It's really hard to describe but it just has a huge smile on it's face when I open the garage and take the cover off it! Or maybe that's just a huge smile on my face!

Oh and for you guys on the fence about driving to the reunion next year there are 3 car washes near by the hotel and track! One you drive thru and one self serve place. So drive it on down and you can take it to the car wash! You'll also find nuts like me detailing the car in the parking lot of the hotel daily!

The trip sounds like a blast, but if you go I can't win the furthest driven prize !! LOL Yeah my TTA has .... 61xxx but I LOVE driving her !!! so you never know, it will depend on the wife getting the time off then, peak time for her work taking holidays !!

I was up in Edmonton around 2006 and stayed at a hotel with a view of a Molson brewery. Went to that big mall you guys have up there, bigger than Mall of America. So at least you got that going for ya!

Ya the mall is ok, my gf always wants to go there. Alot of crowds of teenage girls and they are always in my way standing there talking on their cell phones. Plus I don't like parking there, alot of car thefts there.

The hockey was good here back around '05 too, but not so much anymore hopefully Taylor hall changes that.

Yeah I think I remember the Hooters there being just OK, 3 out 5 stars. But if you factor in Canadian beer, which is like moonshine, then that might bump it up to 4 out of 5. :cheers:

I think if I would own a TTA 0 miles on it, or any other rare musium piece of automotive history, I would be a wreck. Worrying about all the "what ifs", it could get scratched, dented, touched with dirty hands, looked at funny, breathed on wrong, etc... Thats a little too far, but you get the idea...

I'm happy with mine, it looks and drives great with 43k miles on it, and I can have some fun with it, granted if something ever did happen to it, I think I would be sick.
