Downpipe On Ebay Lmao

Surfing the fleabay and see a stock down pipe for starting bid at 500. Lmao I wonder if this includes a crack pipe?????
 
I follow sales of part and memoribilia as and when I have time on ebay and prices are up and down and in the end it depends on what people are prepared to pay for things ... asking price is one thing but will it sell for that price or not?

Recently used set of plug wires went for $400+ .... owners kit went for $150 (wow) .... and I've seen used plug wire sets go for $50-75 and ownerskits as high as $1800 ....

However what I do notice is the fact there's less and less parts out there to buy in general .... complete cars different story always seems to be 5+ on ebay (some relisted several times due to the very high asking price).
 
oh forgot to mention I happily accept $1989 USD for my original downpipe, turbo elbow and flexpipe bit :-)
 
I don't think $350 is out of the question, but that would be the limit IMO. But if your doing a Turbo Buick v6 swap to another f-body this is one part your gonna need and you may pay $500 because the aftermarket stainless pieces are getting pricey!

Go price a set of manifolds for a 60's muscle car .. then $500 doesn't seem so bad for a car they only made 1555 of .
IF you want GM original NOS parts .. you gotta pay the going rate .. they aren't easy to find anymore
FWIW for $750 will get you a 3" stainless 1 piece dp that fits perfect and will last a lifetime .. but its not original :)
 
If it's a part that goes bad and everyone needs it maybe but as long as I've been on here I've never read someone's downpipe rusted out....
They don't go bad or break

Where? With what I see stainless downpipes going for, I've been tempted to just do a bumper exit exhaust lol
 
Wow... someone had the audacity to ask more than $250 for a part that actually functions ... i guess if it had a owners kit with it the price would be much more.. it won't rust either...
 
The simple piece of paper in the pics is worth w a y more to me than a generic owners kit, sorta like a birth certificate... btw this is my last project #799

A guy over on the syty forums was notorious for saying "they ain't making any more of them!" referring to syty parts. The same applies here. As time goes on, original parts that weren't shared with the GN will continue to rise in price.
 
Hey Robert if you keep hanging ur hat on the tta eventually bringing the big bucks I will also suggest put the rest of your money in silver
 
Those kits kill me.... who in there right mind would pay that. Then they just keep getting past from tta owner to tta owner. Kinda like a cheap hooker.
