Relocation Of Air Temp Sensor At Air Intake

I am in the process of doing away with the black hose for the air intake. The current air temp sensor is located in this black hose for the air intake.

Where is the best place to relocate the air temp sensor when changing the air intake hose system?

Post a pic of how it is now..

Don't have a pic of that yet. But it is placed going into the black hose. I am doing away with that hose and going with the chrome pipe off the turbo to a coupler to the GM maf and to a new 8" KN filter that I got in.

I just would like to know where to locate the air temp sensor in this set up. I am thinking maybe in the coupler and install it the way it is in the black stock looking hose.

I have mine in the air filter on the rubber part that goes around the pipe. Works fine.

I changed the old maf hose and relocated the air temp switch to the ring around the kn filter ring, it worked great.

Used a 3in. coupler from the chrome pipe to the GM maf sensor and also used a 8in. kn filter, with new t-bolt clamps at the coupler. Everything worked great.

The air temp on the scanmaster is lower than before with the better location.

Also changed some bolts like on the alternator to Arp stainless steet bolts, and nuts.

Thanks to Jarred for the idea of putting the temp sensor in the kn and thanks to Jan for the earlier info on the Arp fastners.

The air temp sensor was originally in the black maf hose, screwed in this fitting. I always thought it was too close to the engine being there. So the sensor temp is much better now. This is one of the reasons I did this change.
