need right side door sill

I have a crack in my right side or pass side door sill. Need to replace. Where can I find one in excellent condion?

If you cant find one in "beechwood"-heres what I did (I had a crack in my driver side one). I got one from junkyard-it was "camel tan"-close but not exact. Then I bought SEM flex interior paint (rattle can) in "palomino", and painted it. I would say the color is almost exact-unless you would directly point it out-I dont think anyone would notice.

Are you talking about the black piece on top of the door panel? I believe they call them door rails. They are reproduced, but I heard they are not as good as the originals. I bought a nice used set from someone on Thirdgen, and I am going to give them a fresh coat of paint and they should be good to go. When you buy a used set make sure that the studs are intact on the back of it. Ask the seller for a good pic of the back. Then just buy the window felt from someone who sells reproduction gaskets like A1 or Hawks.

I have one I got off eBay , but it is a lighter shade of brown. I could paint it like you said, where did you get the paint from?

My bad-the color is camel-I'm not on my reg pc today. Anyway, I got it at a local paint store that sells auto paints, etc. I dont think you can find it at the chain places. They are also on the net.

OK - my mistake. I would check thirdgen. Someone was parting out a beechwood GTA interior a few months ago
The SEM paints work great. Make sure you buy the plastic prep. It is a cleaner that etches the plastic so the paint bonds better.
The only problem with the SEM paint is that none of the colors are an exact match.

I used the SEM paint, could not find it locally so I got it on amazon. It is pretty close to the right color. This paint is made for plastics. It looks really good.

Glad it worked out for you. I know its not a 100% match, but I would rather have a nice door sill didnt match perfect, than a cracked out one. I bet no one will notice the color difference anyway, unless you point it out.

you can also get SEMs paint mixed to match, but it wouldnt be in a spray can. if you dont have the means to spray it with a paint gun, a body shop can do it for you. just remember to prep it correctly however way you are planning to paint it. I have yet to have any problems with SEMs. that stuff works great.

Yeah, the place I get my paint offered that as an option, but it was like 5 times the cost of the rattle can. I only needed to paint the one part. Great to know though if you are re-doing an interior. I agree-SEM has some good quality stuff.
