ECM Chips?

TURBO1

Super Cool Member
Since I bought the car a month ago, I've noticed kind of a rough idle & possible light slipping from the trans when accelerating mid to heavy, kinda like when your getting on the on ramp, (Speed limit is 75 mph were I live). Anywho, I was curious if the stock chip was still in the ECM, I could tell some ones been in there before and I found this:

Pit Bull, Copyright 1990 TA137L-528SDL , with an address & phone number to the company that made it.

I'm assuming this is a performance chip, right? From what info I found on this chip, there are better ones out there. I really just want the car to run good, I'm fine with a high flow intake & exhaust, but thats about how far I want to go, since I will not be racing this car. Would this chip make the boost gauge not work also? Thanks group, for any input!!!

I'll give turbotweak a call, I have to use this chip for now thow, since its the only one I have. How aggressive is this chip compared to stock or the turbotweak chip? Any side by side spec comparisons, just curious?

So, I've been reading on this turbotweek chip. The street chip looks nice, I also noticed they have a matched set of 42lbs injectors with the chip also. Has anybody gone this route? The numbers off my injectors now are 0280150218, they look stock, but I'm sure with this Pit Bull chip & no working boost gauge, its not a good combo. Recommendations?

Take the injector number to Eric at TT, he can tell you what they are and if you should still use them.

I've bought the chip and injector combo from him and am very happy, in fact I've bought 2 chip set ups.

I've had a PitBull ship. Old technology and like quicky said, the car basically needs a bigger/better fuel pump and at least 110 octane. The timing and boost are way out there for stock fuel pump and injectors. I think your car would love a TT chip and matched 42.5 injectors.

I was thinking the same thing, are the 42lbs injectors ok on a semi stock vehicle. I'm using premium fuel witch is only 91 octane out here in AZ. I'm not going to race the car, I just want a nice show car that runs good & is dependable and has all the power there when I want too use it.

I think so, Talk to Eric at TurboTweak and tell him your set-up. He will taylor the injectors to work best with your car.
