OK,
I haven't driven my car for a few months, and today the weather was beautiful.
Mid 70s, and tonight was mid 50s.
I open up the garage door, take off the car cover, and get in the car, to take her to the local car cruise.
What happens?
I turn the key, and don't hear the electric fuel pump.
I crank the car.
Nothing.
Crank and crank.
Still nothing.
So, looks like I need to replace the fuel pump.
OK, some info on my car.
I have always used replacement AC-Delco parts.
My question is, should I still use the AC-Delco replacement?
Or get a Walbro?
If a Walbro, which one?
I intend to keep the car stock, except for maybe removing the Cat.
Unsure on that.
I don't plan on upgrading the turbo or injectors.
If anything, a 160 thermostat, remove the cat, install the bypass pipe, and maybe a chip.
Nothing ever more than that.
Those of you who keep your car stock, do you keep the fuel pump stock?
Meaning no Walbro pump.
Also, has anyone had to replace the sending unit?
Any other years work (besides just a '89 TTA setup)?
Thanks for your input,
