Turbo Tweak Alchy Chip :)

RatFink

TORQUE
I went home this week and while I was there I finally installed my new turbo tweak chip. It was raining Tuesday, but Wednesday night the pavement dried off a bit so I took it out for a test run. It was pretty foggy out in the country that night.
I drove on in to town where the fog cleared and the pavement was dry. So I get on the throttle and it was real nice. The air was really crisp and cool so The intercooler and Alchy was keeping everything chilly. I opened up the elec dump and set the HKS boost controller to about 22 psi and mashed the throttle. So these Nitto Drag Radials are starting to act like my Goodyears GSC tires, I think it's running pretty strong. Now what? I hate full blown slicks, they are so uncivilized! HAHA:) Eric Marshal has good stuff!:D

Sounds like a trip!!!

That RatFink icon in the TTA is sweet!

Yeah, it was a great trip. These cars do for you what no fountain of youth could do. I hop in, throw in some Dokken and I'm 17 again!:headbang:

Hell yeah! So, is it quicker than the time in your sig now?

Don't know, I haven't been to the track yet. I just put the chip in Tuesday night. I can't tell by the seat of the pants, but if it's breakin the Nittos loose like they're regular tires then maybe it has improved. I ran 21-22 psi and didn't get any knock on the scanmaster. I'm happy with how it feels, but I'm looking forward to Beach Bend opening soon to get an idea of how much it improved. I'll deffinately change my sig when I find out.:wtf:

Nice! And yea, I figured if you had been to the track and had quicker numbers, you would've said so (or updated your sig). I was just wondering if you could tell by driving it. Good luck!

I love his chip too! Had the tta out for over 100 miles in two weekends. More than it has been driven in the last two years haha

Nice! I'm getting the itch to modify my TTA already!

Scanmaster-boost gauges $300
AFPR $100
60's-Walbro 340 with hotwire $500
Turbotweak chip $85
Alky $460
some kind of K&N $100
valvesprings $100

That will yield you low 12's on a mild tune...All for under $2k. You can throw in additional mods i.e. tires, duttneck, whatever you want and be way under what most cars cost...Of course good spring cleaning and 160 thermostat...

Hey 89MNTTA,
Have you done any mods yet? What do you think you will start with?

:D I personally haven't done any mods yet, but I have a suspicion that it isn't quite stock. I wish it was warmer out, and I wish I had a lift in my garage!

I think the first few things I'd like to do is determine what's actually in the car right now for a chip, and any other mods it might have and go from there.

Scanmaster will probably be the first addition since it's not really a mod. I'm very interested in running Alky (Razor's), chip, and finding out what it has for a fuel pump. (and if it's the stock pump, it's gotta go :D)

Other than that, I'll just kind of play it by ear and see how it goes!

With the above your easily in the 11's with traction.
I would X the valve springs and get either a 3" downpipe / intercooler arm / or a bigger turbo. You can even X the alky for now and still the car would move! Most important is fuel pressure regulator, the stock one is weak. The stock fuel pump will take you into the 11's.
Do you have a cat. on the car? Get a dump as well.
