Anyone going to the Trans Am Nationals Aug 24,25,26?

www.tanationals

I am planning on going, but will not be there all three days. Most likely will be at the show Sat and the Tip City Cruise Sat night. May stay for show Sunday, just not sure.

If you're going, shoot me a PM and I'll send you my cell number.

I'm planning on going but wont make decision till end of the week-gotta see about the weather.

I'm finding out what it takes to have a show at Pheasant Run in St. Charles Il. I was there for Pontiac Nationals. It's a beautiful place. I've heard nothing but complaints about the person who runs that show.

I plan on having music entertainment, good food...not normal car show crap. I'm tired of driving all the way to Ohio too...

and I won't be calling it the Trans Am Nationals...

Just got home this afternoon from the NATS. We took the MSE. Had a great time. There were so many beautiful cars. Met some forum people. I saw no TTA's. Did you go, TTA1077? Didnt see your car there.
Heres a link to all the photos I took.

Yep I went, hooked up with Glenn at another Pontiac board gathering. I brought the G8 this time, a little more comfortable for my 8 hr drive and I was with 2 other people that I didn’t want to subject to the back seat of the TTA. I actually didn’t make it to the show at all this year. We went to the National Air Force museum and I finally got to see the whole thing. Went to Tipp City cruise though, I think I actually have come to enjoy that more, little more relaxed atmosphere and you are not baking in 90 degree heat on a black top parking lot.:beach:

The heat-exactly the reason we didnt take the car to Tipp City. Wanted to, but by the time we unloaded, parked the show car, disconnected the trailer and parked that "where they said too", parked the truck, checked into the hotel with our stuff-I was exhausted. Ended up chill-laxing at the pool with some drinks and listened to a southern rock band that was playing. Much more enjoyable than cooking on that black top!!

Tipp City not all that hot really, but I completely understand your point, all that heat drains you. I have wanted to make it through entire museum for years now. Every time I go to the nationals it the show Saturday morning, Tipp City in the evening, pack up, and go to museum Sunday, but I can never get through it all before they close. So this year I focused on that and just did Tipp City. 90% of the show cars go there anyway, the only thing I’m missing is the swap meet and it’s hard to find deals there on Saturday anyway.

I made it to the Nat's on Sat. got registered the car thru tech and parked, around 3:30pm. I ended up in the heavy modified class '82 to '92. They had a caravan to Tip City that left at 4:30 so I went up there.

In Tip City there were 5 TTA's including my #963. I had a nice chat with the owner of a 17000 mile original TTA with Lexan T-tops and T-top shads. The current owner got the car from his Dad, who was the original owner. He had the original window sticker with the Dealer info on it. He did not have the owners kit. I told him of the Forum and hopefully he'll join.

Sunday was just too hot for, me especially on a black top parking lot with no shade, and no canopies allowed!

There were a lot of SE's there, really nice.
