I installed the big 3 inch beast (T.H. downpipe with cat.) and noticed a nice power gain with quicker turbo spool up. However, I now have an annoying vibration at idle and I can feel the engine at speed. Does anyone have the same problem? If so, any suggestions on a fix? Would a torque strap, to hold the engine more solidly thus reducing vibration help? thanks, UD LOSE

A big hammer. You need to remove the dp and find the rubbing. It will leave marks on the pipe and clearance the dp. It also usally causes false knock. A strap will help, just make sure you pull it to where you want it beforehand.

Actually the simplest way to dimple the pipe is locate the rub, heat it with a propane torch and hit it softly with a hammer it will bend easily. The flow will not be hurt. I also like to cut the pipe at the bottom turn and reweld it after connecting it to the rest of the exhaust. For a stress free connection. Terry uses a flex pipe now, his original pipes did not.

I have the same problem.. Not much you can do but what Rob said. Mine is real annoying cause its hitting my Subframe Connectors.

Mine doesn't make any noise or vibration and I did not have to hammer it. Truely the key is routing it carefully and not letting it touch anything. You should be able to see by now where it it touching, and maybe relocate. New band clamps are available at NAPA if you need one of those.
