That's like looking for hens teeth! Go to the junk yard and find some 3.8 FWD cars and take those. The passenger side sometimes don't fit to well so you might need to do a gasket and some silicone to make sure they seal well. Other then that if you find TTA covers your going to pay a ton of money for them!
Good find! The only thing I read is that the pass side back corner don't sit on there to good. So you might need to seal it with some silicone as well. Check for leaks once they are on! Other then that you should be good to go! Post some pics and let us know about leaks when your done.
I called my local junk yard and they've pretty much scrapped all of thier older stuff. Now they pretty much order in everything on thier locator service. I don't know what to order. I've read for years that they are the same as a 3.0L V6. However on the parts computer the 3.0L (late 80's century) looks like it has steel covers instead of aluminum. I now see in this link that 3.8L valve covers have worked - are they the same as our TTA covers?
If somebody could add some information I'd appreciate it.
I just got off the phone with my wifes uncle. He has an 88 Lesabre parts car with a 3.8. He said I could have the valve covers if they'll work. I'm not sure if a 1988 would be the same or not. I'll find out tomorrow!
Those valve covers you have look really nice. I actually just need a drivers side (or front on a FWD) to add a second breather. I plan to send them for Jet-Hot coating as soon as I find my second cover. Since they are being blasted and coated anyways the finish really isn't all that important. I'll certainly keep yours in mind as a backup if my leads don't pan out.
