stock boost gauge

i have a 89 tta my stock boost gauge goes past 20 psi when i start the car and stays their
when i start driving and give it gas it will go down to zero when i let up on the gas it goes back up past 20 psi after 5 to 10 min. of driving it seems to work fine
car has a ATR 3" EXHAUST and A POSTEN 6 POSITION ULTRA CHIP
the rest is stock (i was thinking of changing my map sensor)

From what I gather the boost gauges in our cars were prone to fail. Not sure if someone can fix it for you. I know there are places that fix the GN boost gauges and they are prone to fail and go out of calibration as well. Hopefully someone will post on this!
