speedometer starts working after 15 minutes of driving

hi,i am a new member .Maybe some one could help me out,i have a tta that i just purchased.I have a problem with the speedometer,it starts working after 15 minutes of driving the car.Could any one tell me what the problem is and how i would fix it.I would appreciate the help,thaks......:bye1:

I would check the speedo gear and housing. It's located on the tail of the transmission drivers side. There is a small bolt and plate holding the housing in the transmission, undo that, pull housing out and inspect plastic gear. Inspect cable attached to housing also. Beyond that I don't know any more. Good luck

Finally got around to it, turn out to be the connector on the .vehicle speed sensor put a new pig tail now works perfect.
