scanmaster

You are going to have to fatten it up. The RJC plate wont magically raise the fueling. It might supress knock but not 6 degrees...

No...your car is fine just up the fueling. Erics chips arent dyno tuned but they are very close.

The RJC only redistributes the air, I know. Now the question is how much fuel? The chip adjusts in .8% increments. should I try somewhere in the 2-4% range or more?

I don't think your pump or injectors are bad, if that was the case I think your leaning out would be more pronounced than the little bit your seeing now. Popping and bad sneazing is what will result when the fuel is severly cut off.
A newer more efficeint pump wouldn't hurt down the road. Some 50# or 60# injectors would be cool if you go bigger turbo. I wouldn't stress too much on your fuel increment addition, if you go too rich you'll see your numbers change and you will feel it laying down, but I'd rather go too rich than too lean. I wouldn't worry about a little retard on your scanmaster. I've seen my scanner go to 24 in some cases when I was tuning stuff and didn't have it dialed in. Back in the day when there was no scanners, we would go by ear and guessing, I'm sure I've ran it with too much knocking back then, but these are strong motors and I never destroyed anything. I think that running 17.5 on your stock turbo is safe. I used to run leaded 108 fuel and 22 pounds on the stock turbo and down pipe. On GSC Goodyears spinning it ran 8.21 in the 1/8th at like 87-88 mph pretty close to stock

This Just in! Installed the RJC plate and added 4% fuel on the TT chip, upped the boost to 18lb. Ran a standing start to about 80 mph (got their really quick:)) My new #'s are 785 mv/ .09 knock, seems to be a lot better! Also had my passenger motor mount replaced, what a difference in the way the car runs, feels like it did when my parents let me first drive it back in '93:) I also had the A/C compressor done and an R12 refill. Something went wrong on that, I have really cold A/C but it's blowing out the top of the dash where the defrost is supposed to blow. What happened their?

PS still trying to upload the cell phone pics my girl took while running that C6

Lower the boost 2 pounds. That will take car of your knock and your fueling will be dead on. No reason to knock at if you dont have money on the line..

Here are some new #'s 60-100MPH O2 mv= 722/ knock 4.7 that was in drive. Next was at some highway speed to 137mph racing a c6 vette:) O2=764/ knock was 6.2:( Much better #'sthan what I first posted, but still lean. Should I bring the fuel up on the Turbotweak? or just wait and see what the RJC plate does for me? Some of that might be the weak motor mount. Anyway I can't believe how well I did against that vette. We were even on launch and I pulled away until about 120 then he started to catch me, at 135 or so he was pulling away. The second go I had the drop on him and pulled way away, he must have been doing 160 to catch pass me, well after I was slowing down! My girlfriend was riding shotgun and got a pic. on her cell phone, will try and download and post:):):)

Nice run, I have run several c6's at the track. They are very hard to launch due to the torque management system which cuts timing. They usually run 12.8 or so but trap like 115 or so. Their 60 foot times really really hurt them. They are actually harder to launch than the c5 but are usually .3 seconds faster in the 1/4 due to there 30 extra wheel hp. Good race nothin to be ashamed about. Those lsx engines are no joke up top, the pull and pull after 100 or so when most cars fall on their face. I have only been in two races on the highway because I don't like to street racing. But a guy I worked with told me he would crush my T/A (LS1) (Bolt ons) off the bottle so I told him lets run them and see. I took him out of the dig until 140 (2 lengths) or so and by 150 he had realled me in and started to slightly pull when I looked down at my speedo at 160.:bounce: Oh well, needless to say I challenged him again on the bottle and put many legnths on him until he stopped around 100 mph.:cheers:Vettes are nice.

Sweet runs!. You don't like street racing? Whatever dude, sounds like you have a prtetty good feel for it. Running 160 mph doesn't sound like your on the fence about it. Calling out a guy to "turn the NOS on" That's funny!
Sounds like good times. I raced a supercharged stang on the street last Saturday night...Kinda in town sort of, we didn't get faster than 70 mph. It was obvious I had him, so I think we both let off rather than chance getting thrown in the pokey. I want a new vette now. A ton of NOS on a z06 would be fun. Probably a 9 second car if all held together...on slicks too.

I love your website. That's alot of mods. Good luck on the 11.5:), if not keep modding until you get there!!:)

There's a newer white ZO6 that runs at englishtown, with some bolt ons and a small shot of nitrous on drag radials it's run 9.8 at over 140mph

Thanks, I'm going to try to update it next month.
Well, I hope to find out if I'm in the 11's in a few weeks.
Hope to make it to Beach Bend on the 20th.
