Need a lead on where to find a stock rocker assembly for my TTA. Might consider an upgrade if headwork is not required. Any info or upgrade suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Our rockers and the other parts needed where used on a number of 80's cars ..

Your parts dealer can get them from VPI ...

Jan,
I called VPI ... no luck. They told me they have no rockers and since they are discontinued items they have no way of re-stocking them in the future. Thanks for the lead. Every possible source is worth the time and effort to check out.

Is this what you are looking for? Pictures of some of the parts and the original TTA heads they came from. Disassembled by Champion down here in Florida. I got a box full of this stuff, and also valves, springs etc.:beach:

Mike,
Yes! I put a new set of valve springs and guide seals in awhile back. When I bought my car it showed an oil leak after my initial drives. When I pulled the valve covers, I discovered that the inner spring on one of the valves somehow snagged the guide seal and pulled it out causing the oil leak. I searched all over locally but ended up getting a set of "stock" valve springs through Cal Hartline's shop. I tried them for the rocker assemblies but the they said they don't have a source for "stock" rockers. The ones they could get were upgrades, but they were several hundred dollars for a set. I'm trying to find a set that does not require pulling the heads and sending them to a machine shop. It would be nice to find the whole assembly including the studs, retainers, etc.

Looks like the website I pointed to had not been updated, checked the part numebers online @ VPI and you are right they don't have them anymore ... just the stud and a few other items still avalible.

Your best bet is to locate a set from any of the cars I listed above, junkyard will get you what you need.
