It was a 3 day marathon.

Friday evening: CornFest Cruise In
About 75 cars showed up, they have roasted corn and BBQ chicken. Oh, and also beer. LOL Participant judged, but a very good time. Hubby took his newest toy-1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia. A great support vehicle to take to shows-provides shade, comfortable seating, refrig, etc. Link to the photos:

Saturday's show at the former Ohio State Reformatory was canceled due to rain, but we had tour tickets so went anyway with the van. The prison operated from 1906 to 1990 and then closed. The Historical Society took it 5 yrs later and they are slowy restoring it. Amazing architecture yet creepy at the same time. The "Shawshank Redemption" was filmed there, and a few other famous movies and videos. Link to the photos:

Sunday was the Tilted Kilt Car Show. 166 car showed up. It was a fundraiser for Veteran's. This was a judged show. The TTA took a Top 20 award! The guys that judged my car were actually knowledgable about it and noticed things and asked questions. It felt good to be recognized and that someone (besides our small group here) knew about the car.

Enjoy!

Awesome! And look at that VW camper van with the shades pulled, could have slept right through 3 days with that! Cool stuff! Way to represent

Very nice, busy weekend !

That camper van brings back memories ... you used to see them on the roads very often when I was younger living in Sweden ... the Germans and the Dutch in particular used them big time ...
