Proper push rod length with roller cam

Here is what Mike from full throttle had to say about the correct pushrod length.

[FONT=&quot]I mock them up with whatever lifter you are going to use, a solid roller will be different. I set the adjuster to zero lash and add the preload I want. The pushrods come in .050 increments. For every full turn on the checker you .050 to the 7.800 start point.[/FONT]

You might not feel a difference till you put a really nice set of heads with a port matched intake. I'd be shifting at 5800 rpm with that cam since you will have the spring.

You should buy a modded governor to hit that 5800 rpm before shifts.
Shifting out at the stock shift points is not what that 206/210 was made for. 4900-5100ish is NOT where you want to shift. Once it shifts, you will be way out of it's power curve and actually end up putting more load on the motor.

It's like riding a bike... It's easier to pedal faster and shift into the next gear. You don't want to pedal normal and shift. It's harder to pedal the bike. That's the extra load on the motor I'm talking about.

You should invest in the HS roller rockers too. That is a lot of spring pressure for those old, heavy, rattley rockers.

You did select the right cam though. On a TTA, use a small roller cam and let the boost do it's job.

What do you base the size of the roller rockers on? Full throttle has them at 1.55, 1.6, and 1.65. Is it the rocker arm length? The reason I ask is because the new block was a fresh built std. bore SG1 block. The block has Turbo crank, stock GN 2 dot rods w/ARP rod bolts and stock GN pistons. Block has 2 Billet Main caps with ARP main studs. This is probably a little different than the stock TTA block and components.
 
The roller rockers have nothing to do with whats been done to the block , crank rods or pistons, only the cam and heads... and in a roundabout way the turbo size...

I think Red still sells the HS roller rockers at a good price. He lives close by HS. You have to tell him it's for a TTA!

You have a lot of spring pressure for the stock rockers. That's the reason you SHOULD chose the HS's.
