Problems with my 1981 301 Turbo TA

My TA was running fine until I moved it a few hundred miles on a auto transport. Now when I start it or try to, it runs for a a few seconds and the engine check/choke lights stay on then the engine dies. Right after the engine dies the gas air mix shoots out the carburetor. Could of something loosen up while the TA was bouncing around, or signs of another problem?

What year is the car? If it is a 1981 and up, they have a engine electrical plug for finding trouble codes. I'm not sure that you have a 20th TTA, but go to Autozone and get a reader. I don't remember a price though!
You can get the code, and ask back here, or call the dealer and ask them what the code means.
There is also another way of bypassing a code reader, something about a paper clip, but I don't know it.

Can you get the car to keep running? Or does it not want to run at all? Sounds like the choke isn't working right. Usually they just go bad or stick. Play with the linkage to see if it moves ok. Next thing to do would be to take the air cleaner off and have someone start the car while you play with the throttle and choke butterfly. It may take a few minutes to get the car to run at idle. If you get it to run(because the car will be warm) then more than likely the choke is worn or just sticking. Also if the check engine light goes out after the car gets running then we know it's not computer related. Start with this first before you get to worried. More than likely it's just something simple.
