Plastic Intake Tube

Hi. I'm looking for the plastic intake tube that connects from the turbo inlet bell to the flexible tubing that connects to the MAF sensor.

I wish we could get them reproduced in aluminium one of these days.

Some used GN versions and got them to fit however the bends are totally different but as long as they don’t hit anything it should be ok. Others welded their own from a few pieces of bent tubing just cutting them in the right places.
 
I don't have one to compare for correct angle. I see stainless 3" intercooler tubes on eBay. They have powder coated black aluminum as well. I'm thinking a 45 degree elbow.
 
They do help quite a bit. From the photo the angle dosen't seem that sharp.Thanks. Seems the original tube is hard to come by.
 
The fac. stuff wasn't that good to begin with, over tighten once and it will collapse, if you want the fac. look your better off cutting a metal piece and paint it black...
 
Yep Robert is correct one end collapsed easily when tightening the hose clamp and GM even redesigned the plastic tube once to improve the strength of it in that area.

The fix is to cut a thin alice of a 3”tube (aluminium so it won’t rust) and press inside of the plastic tube that way it won’t collapse at all.
 
Thanks for the input. I must figure out something. Because I'm looking to retain the stock appearance. So I'll continue to hunt and try and find an original and reinforce the end, and in the meantime I'll try cutting to fit a powder coated aluminum 45° elbow and see how that works out.
