i got an 81 tta and i cant seem to get it to stop pinging,the timing is correct the egr is good carb is adjusted 100 octane gas,i dunno if the computer is advancing too much or its going way too lean when at full throttle. if anyone can help please reply thanks

I could be wrong, but wasn't the computer only used to keep the emissions in check, in the early 80's. Or were the turbo cars computer smarter? Sorry not much help, just a thought.

How many miles are on the car? These things get old, and the timing chain streaches, making the timing off. Have you changed it lately?
I also know that the carb has some electrical plugs going to it (from the computer), and I have never messed with my carb because of that.
