Hi:

I came up with the bright idea (should have thought of it sooner since I've 'lost' at least 3 cars to gather info on) of documenting all the TTA's out there by looking at For Sale sites and owner home pages etc etc.

The info I have is Car Prod #, Vin # last 6 digits, current miles, Current Location

So far I've gathered info on car #:
266, 293, 413, 542 or 543, 549, 599, 631, 677 (crashed!), 730, 756, 831 or 832 (my car to be determined by PHS), 931, 950, 1142, 1415, 1461 (hardtop)

When I get to 25 or so I'll be happy to make it available ...
 
We have the registry on here which has the car #, last known location, and mileage. Jan Larson has posted his VIN list which has most of the cars VINs and car # so essentially you could combine the two lists and I believe come up with what you're looking at doing.
 
Sorry Jared ... I'm tired and haven't slept much! lol

Anyway the best part of what I've done is I've got Photo Documentation of each car ... that was my main point was to combine what has been done with photo documentation ...

If that has been done I'm gonna feel like a real dingbat! LOL
 
Guys, yes I also got photo documentation and other documents for many VINs I have saved over the years .... not sure how to best make this type of info available to everyone in an easy mather ... maybe photobox or webshots??

Some owners might have a concern as photos to have license plates and other "private" info ....

Well I for one would love to get that information. Shouldn't we just have an online registry with the ability to download pictures and information about each car?

Would anyone be interested in that?

By US law anything in public can have pictures taken of it legally (with few exceptions for national security reasons). Besides, you've already posted the VIN of most of the cars which is FAR FAR more important information for someone to worry about than their license plate.
 
I agree and I have never really understood what the big deal was about the license plates being blacked out on ads etc etc.

Oh well ... back to what I said earlier ... would we be interested in some sort of online registry with the ability to download pictures and information?

Isn't that what this is? You can do all of that here. Post pics in the vGarage and the registry page has the build numbers. More of the same thing?
 
Believe it or not I never saw the Registry up there! Ugh ... It's a shame that it's used so sparsley ... no vins, no pictures, no information about the cars. I've never been sure why people don't realized that it's better for both buyers, sellers, owners, hobbyists, if MORE information is given and not less.

Oh well ... when my car comes I'll update it further ... I sent my info and waiting for it to upload ... I guess it gets reviewed first.
