New York meet

Alright after seeing Airedale from NY post I realized that just made one too many TTA owners in the central NY area not to have a meet. I don't really care if you bring your car but lets all just get together and shoot the shit for a while. Maybe we can find a good car show going on in about a month. We could meet somewhere around Binghamtom, Syracuse, or just somewhere in central NY. I've met up the John (ttanewyork) and Joe (the infamous Joe that I forgot his sn now) already but I'd like to meet some of the others. Plus I realized when meeting both of them, neither of them have met any other TTA owners in NY and they only live like 2 hours from each other.

So post up if you'd like to go and where you're located. Then we can try to find a good central area for everyone and find something to do. Like I said, you should try to bring the TTA but if you can't atleast come to hang out (heck I don't have my TTA).

Some ideas of stuff to do are hiking (there's lots of it and my personal favorite), car show, dinner and maybe a couple drinks, or something else. Give you're input, all of you guys are from NY not me, I'm just hear visiting for a couple months :bye1:

I'm either in NYC or Port Jervis and am definatly interested. Dont know if I can bring a car but would love to get together with some other TTA guys :)

Alright, here's one idea that I had. I know Watkins Glen would be a pretty far drive for those on the East Coast, if someone needed a place to stay I have an extra room in the house I'm staying at that they could stay in for a night more than likely.

So if we go to Watkins Glen some of the things we can do are:

Vintage Racing, there is another event coming up in October that is a closed event but I've talked to the organizer and he seemed fairly open on letting people in if they contacted him.

The old Watkins Glen track, we can take a lap or two around the old track, it's got some great scenary and some fun corners.
State Park Gorge, this is one of the most incredible parks I have ever been to with over 20 waterfalls and a path right along the bottom of the gorge you're within about 10 ft of almost every waterfall (you even walk under one). The path is all old stone, it's just a sight you must see. The only kind of bad thing is, the path consists of 800 stairs to the top. It gets pretty tiring but if we stop and look at the falls some it really isn't too bad.

Finally, we could grab some dinner. There are a couple good options. There is a dinner cruise that is supposed to be really nice and I think I remember it being fairly reasonable in price. It always seems to be fairly popular when I've been in Watkins Glen since their parking lot is always packed. The other option is that there is a nice seafood place that is right next to the dinner cruise place (they might be one in the same), sorry John.

Another option for a location is Syracuse which there is a go-kart track but I don't know what else they have.

Anything would be cool with me. Just let me know.

Also if anyone is interested in comming out my way next summer there is a cruise at a local dragstrip. They get about 2,000 cars and bikes each week, and for five bucks you can take a pace at the track. They also have the normal burn out contest and babe of the week contest. Also there is a indoor gokart track. The cars will do about 40mph. Plus Niagara falls is ten mins from my house.
