Need some Answers & Part #'s

End of the month were taking the TTA apart for prep work, sanding and primer. But first taking her to the shop for a check up, a good once over. Thanks Mike, for the shop #.

Ok I need plugs, in there now AcDelco R42CTS, I believe they are discounted, they look great, but I rather replace them, and put them away, so....

Spark plugs # AcDelco or who?
O2 Sensor # Bosch?
Fuel Filter # Wix makes a fuel filter?

Also I need wires, I know most are going to say Russ Meritt @ TurboBuicks, I can't find him, he's got a #, website, or E-Mail?
If he's to pricey, what would you say is second best?

I'm talking to Eric @ TT, about a chip & 60lb injector combo, and also a ScanMaster. Getting Fuel Pump, Fuel Regulator, and HotWire kit next month. Just replacing everything that I know needs replacing before taking her to the shop, and see what they say.

I know these questions been answered countless times through the years, but I'm sure there have been improvements also.

Spark Plugs - AC Delco R42 LTS
02 Sensor - AC Delco AFS-21 (replaces the original AFS-20)
Fuel Filter - GF652 (replaces the original GF481)

Plug wires I don't know as I use the original OEM's on mine.
 
As far as the wires go, I have the Russ Meritt type on mine. They are made by a guy named Shane in Tn.
You can get the wires from Gbodyparts.com, let them know if you have a 3" downpipe so they will work in this area.

Alot of these questions Fred will know he has a TTA with similar mods as my car. Great people to deal with!!!:beach:

They sound like great people, and I'm sure he will, I'm just trying to get all the easy stuff out of the way.

And thanks for the info on the wires, Mike!
 
Jason is right BUT, if it sits for a extended time unplug it to build oil press. before you start it , your turbo will thank you as well

And is this the orange wire, people say disconnect after oil change, and chip change?

As far the the filter for the oil cap, I used one from Metco, you can get a curved one or a straight one and I used a straight one. A number of vendors have these.

Also you need a small one where the hose used to be coming from the turbo to the valve cover where the curved rubber grommet is. I bought a cheap cheezy one off the shelf at discount auto and used a rubber hose to fit the opening and I reinforced it with a brake line I cut. It worked really well. My curved rubber grommet has a screen behind it also.

Also the wireing harness leading to the alternator is the hotwire kit for the fuel pump.
