Met another TTA on the road

I was cruising in 916 on Saturday, when a car appeared next to me. A TTA. First time I ever ran across another one on the road. Invited him to my house and took some shots. His car is #924(eight digits away from my vin#) with 25k miles; he is the original owner. Hopefully, he'll join this site.

Cool!!

There is only one other tta around my town that I know of. That''s because it was my old car.
I have only ran into him at the track though, never bootin around town.

Nice. There are apparently several TTAs in my area but I have never seen one in person.

I met one guy at Sears who lived a town over, I was getting out of the car and he came up to me and introduced himself. I guess it was a running car that was modified with no door decals. I believe I saw the car about a year later on the street and I tried to follow him but I was in my Escort going the opposite way and by the time I turned around he was gone.

There is one which is supposedly going through a frame off restoration currently or will be soon. A local turbo buick friend knows him and is going to be doing the body work on the car I believe but I've never seen the car.

This last year I was driving my car and was making a test hit down a back road when this truck turned behind me and started honking at me. I thought they were following me to yell at me for speeding so I just kept on going, 3 streets later I just decided screw it I'll stop. Come to find out it was an older guy who's son owns a TTA which has some transmission problems and they're about to get some work done on it. We talked briefly and I gave him my number telling him if he wanted help pulling it I'd be glad to help. He called me once a week later to ask about where I had my tranny built and then I never heard from him again.

Then there might be one more since none of the previous cars move or wouldn't be in the area, but a friend spotted a tta at a local cruise in I normally go to (small like 20 cars normally). He said he thought it was my car and turned around to say hey but by the time he turned around it was gone. There was a running car for sale about 5 miles north not too long before so I think it may have been that car.

And finally, down here at school there is a member on here, vetta, who is the original owner of his car I believe. It's got fairly low miles I believe. I'm supposed to meet up with him but I have been extremely busy this semester so I haven't found the time to get a hold of him.

Cool pics thanks for sharing! Just wait till the TTA reunion in 2011! Hopefully you can enjoy driving around Ohio seeing TTA's all over! :)

I missed one around my area by about a minute once. I was down the street from my friend I was gonna pick up when he called and asked why I passed him and just kept on going. I couldn't find him, but I do know theres several in my area too... I hope to run across one some time.
