Map Pocket Removal

I have a rattle behind the passenger side dashboard. I would like to remove the map pocket which would help me see what's going on. The shop manual is not very helpful. Page 8C-10, figure 12 is all they give you. There are 6 fasteners showing, but what are they? Push buttons? Christmas tree fasteners?

The material in the map pocket covers them up. You can feel them, but that's about it. Do you just get out a putty knife and start prying on the map pocket edges until it pulls off? Seems extreme. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Bob

Just plastic christmas tree push buttons .... back of the map pocket is metal but bends easy so if you had something thin you can push in next to each push button and pry the straight out that usually works without breaking them.

Thanks Jan - I had been wondering about that for a long time. Topic closed. This forum is great!

All the Best, Bob
