Help with an 81 TTA

I have an 81 Trans am with the 301 Turbo that I am restoring it has the two computers. The spark control computer was missing when i bought it but it blew the head gaskets due to it. I was wondering if anyone kows a way to make it run w/o the computers. I don't think the 80 TTA have them, but i don't know if its worth the time to swap to that or try and find a used computer and get it running. Also if anyone has any interior parts or knows where I can find some please let me know.

Thanks

Ok first you can run without either computer, but you will have to use a HEI for a Pontiac V-8 or an aftermarket distibutor. The spark control is used to back of the timing when the boost comes in and without it their is no way to control the timing. Also you would have to by a timing control box such as the MSD-6BTM so you can have control over the timing. The real catch with the 81 is that the carb is also computer controled and can not be used without the computer. You would have to track down a carb from a 80 turbo T/A or adapt a Holley carb to work. Which I know of one person who has done it. the best (easiest solution) would be to get the computers so you can keep everything simple.
