GNX or TTA Hardtop?

Its all about what style you like. The TTA hardtops dont come up for sale very often. You always see GNX's for sale. You cant go wrong buying either

I prefer TTA's so I'd go for the hardtop, as said it's much rarer to see a hardtop TTA at a show or for sale. The downside is people havent a clue what it is or how rare it is and it often gets passed up at shows.

The GNX is the bad boy of them all though, everybody knows them even if they dont have the info right. Always attracts a crowd at shows. But from a rarity standpoint is 14 times more common than a hardtop TTA, 22 times more common than a hardtop/leather, and 36 times more common than a hardtop/cloth.

GNX all the way!!! Because I would sell it and:

1. I would buy a c6 zo6.
2. Put some more mods into my Trans am.
3. Put some more money in the stock market.
4. Give the wife some spending money to get her out of my hair.:cheekiss:
5. If I have any left over money buy a TTA or GN.

PS: There was a bone stock C6 zo6 at the track that took out his air filter and ran an [email protected]. I ran 11.55 @118.3 mph in my 4th gen Trans am. Bastard. Time for more mods.

Which would you rather have? I know there is a big value gap but... just thought I would start a thread.

Both cars are awesome, but for me it would be the turbo ta hardtop. The GNX is a great car. Its just a matter of personal taste, and I would own 100 trans-ams if I could. It is funny that a lot people do not know what the turbo ta is. This summer at a show there was a group of maybe 19-22 year olds with imports that thought the car was a 5.7 GTA with an after market turbo set up. That kind of thing seems to happen all the time. Very few people know what the car is.

Tell me about it! I can't count how many times people have said things like "Is that a V6? Why would he put a 6 in there?" "Hey look its a turbocharged 8!" or my favorite form people and mechanics and parts guys alike, "DID YOU PUT THAT ENGINE IN? OR WAS THAT FACTORY :explosion:Anyway, the TTA is a cooler car but I'd still like to own a Legend. I think the GNX value is the way it is, because it was hyped from the beginnig as an investment, where as the TTA was hardly advertised and the F body would be around for another 12 years. Now had GM/Pontiac planned something more special than a paint and decal job for the TA in '02 and advertised it, maybe we could have had the next GNX.

Well being into Trans Ams for almost 30 years and owning a TTA hardtop, I am partial to the TTA. But I do wish I had bought a low milage GNX years ago to go along with my Cloth TTA Hardtop.

I gotta say gimme the GNX. Too hard getting out these dang cars sometimes and I ain't getting any younger!

After seeing that 9 original mile GNX on Ebay and the pricetag that comes with it.....Ill take a TTA hardtop.

If price is an issue gimme the TTA!!! I don't have that kinda money....well not for one car at least that sits in a garage year round.
