Fuel Pressure

What is the ideal fuel pressure. I am going to change my regulator for an adjustable one and was wondering what i should set it at?

Thanks, I was thinking 45 with th line off. I had it written down at home, but I wanted to change it while I was at work.

The TTA uses a 237 regulator which I belive is supposed to supply 45psi static (line off)
though many older injectors are rated for flow at 43.5psi. Larger injectors often want higher pressures to operate at lower pw, for example I run my 83# injectors at 51psi static. Many newer cars operate at higher pressures, LS1's for example run 58psi constant pressure. I guess what I'm trying to say is there is no ideal fuel pressure but 43-45psi is a good starting point and then fine tune it to your setup

Great advice. It had the stock 237 but was running at about 50-51 psi with no vacuum. Not sure why. Thats why I got the adjustable. Set at 43 on the nose. Seemed to help, but still misses occasionally. Hopefully won't flood out anymore. I may be looking into injectors next. And a new fuel pump in the near future.

15 years ago my original 237 was running 50 psi too. found out someone had crushed it toincrease the fuel pressure, a little trick to run more boost and still pass the old pure stock drag class in the early '90's
