Coolant tank cover

Hi,

I'm looking for the silver cover that goes over the coolant tank. John's performance no longer has them. Does anyone have one or know of a place selling them?

Thanks,

I was thinking about these one day becasue I know they're scarce to find. I started think that maybe a suitable replacement could be made by a trim shop using material to insulate from high heat (summit sells something that looks close) or material used to make a well drillers fire suit.

Like this..

Anyway, one could get an old one and have a trim shop duplicate it using this material.

...

I was also thinking about having something like this done. I deal with 3 of the largest welding glove manufacturers and talked to one of the people in the research dept about making something like this. They have a welding glove with an aluminized coating that looks just like the material on the coolant blanket. All they would need is one of the blankets to copy and they would have to do a market study to see if it would be worthwhile. If someone has a beat up cover I can send them so they can take measurements and see what the stuff is made out of. It probably won't be in any shape to be returned so if anyone has one that is beat up maybe we can get these reproduced!!! Let me know, Thanks,AJ:toot:

that would be a good idea AJ! Someone needs to donate one. Would be nice to find someone that can make one just like the OEM ones!

Maybe "justaTA" would donate his from that salvage title car he is parting out.

I have a real ratty one I purchased off ebay to make a template from. If someone wants to make one from it, we can work out a deal to use it.
