Coolant Overflow Silver cover?

I am looking for the silver radiator overflow bottle heat blanket. I have seen this for sale somewhere, but I can not find it again. Can anyone tell me where to find one (aftermarket is fine) I thought it was $80.

I could not find it at the site. I am looking for the coolant tank silver blanket, soft material that covers overflow bottle, looks like something from NASA.

Looks like John took it off his on-line catalog, give him a call as I know he got them. They are a bit pricey and also the material used (new spaceage I guess) is thinner than the original but it looks good and does the job.

Might be some other vendors carries it as well, I bought mine many years ago directly from the guy that made them but cont think I kep the receipt but will have a look later today.

Jan I'd love to get a spare for mine just to put away if you can get the contact info of the original guy shoot it over to me as well! Hopefully he has some for us. I saw the John's one on a car and was not happy with the quality of it. Seemed pretty thin and cheap. But if you don't have anything it's better then nothing that's for sure. Hopefully you can find the info on your contact and he has some Jan!

I'll see if I still got the details ... yes it's thinner material but I'm sure 15 or so years down the line the design in material changes as well. Besides the thickness it's a perfect fit.

Mike,

Long time, don't think I've seen you since that gathering we had at Busse Woods.

John used to carry those, I think they were in the Limited items category but looks like they're gone now. Are you working on another project car or this just another TTA?

How's Jay doing? Still have the TTA and the 25th? Tell him I said hello.

Oh yeah, BTW, sold my TTA and moved to GA.

Guys found it, got it end of 2001 from :

Ron's Custom Auto
305 S. Michigan Ave.
Kenilworth, NJ 07033
800/718-7667
www.ronscustomauto.com

URL does not work anymore so not sure if he is still in business. Jim maybe you can give him a call.

If I remember correct his wife did them for him...

Phone number don't work either :( Looks like that number turned into a 1800 spam talk line or something. I'll see if I can make something out of the address.

If any one knows of a GM New Old Stock version of the cover please let me know. I am looking for a replacement one for my Festival car. I am sure I will have to pay dearly!

Had a quick look for the part number but could not find it listed in the GM Parts & Illustration catalog ...

I might put my old one on e-bay ... still does the job but looks 20+years old :teehee:
