Boost dropped to 10 psi

I justed replaced the original boost lines with a set of original GM onesfrom Kirbans. I also put a waste gate filter on since mine was missing. Since I did this I am only getting about 10PSI of Boost. Did i F something up or should I adjust the wastegate since the old lines were getting stretched and worn.

Get rid of the Y and buy an RJC boost controller.

I am planning on putting one on, But what I asked was why would it have dropprd from 16.5 to 10psi?

Take a picture of the Y. My guess is you have it backwards. Common problem.

Also make sure you have the correct size restictor in the "y". Usually the replacements have a different size, witch can cause abnormal boost readings.

The replacements would have (if I remember correct) the restrictor size for the GN and the TTA is slightly different ... you can use the Y from your old setup and see if it makes a difference ... I know johnsperformance.com sold a restrictor for the TTA and that is what I'm using in my T for the GM replacement hoses.

Yup, your right!!! Its the correct size for the GN, but the TTA is different. I bought mine from johnsperformance last year, I think the TTA is .40" size orifice.

That is probably what is wrong. I bought the replacement from Kirban's. It is original GM, but it is probably the GN restrictor. I will try to switch it next time I take the car out and see if it makes a difference.

Honestly, quit dicking around with the stock Y and go with the grainger setup. There are no positives to the Y except stock looking and I don't think you are after that. ttarider
