what's up guys .Does anyone know who sells the belt tensioner for our cars besides Highway Stars.I contacted them they have it for 349.00,i thought that was kind of high,also called kirban performance they said nobody has that part.:explosion:
 
Nobody make's those anymore, they come up for sale every now and then so keep a sharp eye out and be ready to jump on it as they don't last long... i got lucky and found one for $200 (new)
 
I was able to get mine at a local Napa dealer. Not sure where he found it but I know he told me it was the last one. It might be worth a trip to a local parts place. There might be one sitting in a warehouse somewhere by you.
 
I'm surprised they don't get another run done like they did a number of years back (nos4gn.com) ... I paid 79 USD for one at the time (they were initially on sale) then I think 89 for my spare one slightly later ...

Grab hold of a nice used one ... they pop up on turbobuick.com once in a while last one I saw went for 60 I think it was.
 
I think I have 2 NOS ones buried in a box somewhere. Sorry don't want to part with them as you know how Murphy's law works... I knew they were going to be an issue as time went on that's why I saved a few. I got them from GM for like $60 bucks way back when no less. Should have bought a few dozen I guess! I did have 4 of them at one time some years back. I sold one for 150 bucks and thought I was doing good! I went to replace the tensioner on my 87 GN (brand new in the box from GM) and the small ear snapped right off as soon as I had it on the car! Took it back to the dealer and after some screaming they gave me another one. But that little ear loves to snap off. It's like a pot ash aluminum metal mix or something! I would try NAPA and all those parts houses. Someone needs to remake them. I would think it would be a costly part to reproduce.
 
I am surprised these things are so hard to get.They make so many parts for the buick and they couldn't come up with a belt tensioner that sucks.G-body has me on the waiting list to get one,hopefully I will be getting one soon....:confused::confused::bed:
 
There is one for sale on TB. com, $200, brand new, under parts for sale/ title turbo buick parts 60586... won't be there long...
