Any shows in Detroit June 1st (possibly May 31st) ?

If there's any shows worth a visit on June 1st let me know as I'm in Livonia doing nothing :-) Plan to go to the Henry Ford museum as well that day. Anything else worth a visit?
 
Hmmm, about 3 hours away from me. Depending on my schedule maybe I'll drive up in the G8. The website and FB page look a little light on content though.
 
Would love to go Mike, one of these years I hope I can make it out there for a visit ... oh and Ole Smoky tour / sampling as well :-) (bought another jar while in CA last month); too bad it's not the weekend before when I'm in Atlanta (Ron could taken us both up there).

Jan, You are always welcome at Ole Smoky Holler, I told them about you when I was up there last when I made the tour video. If you go let me know and I will try to set you up with a tour with Johnny Bootlegger if he is around!:cheers:

The F Body Meet and Greet is on June 1 in Milford, MI about 20 miles west of Livonia, They usually get 300-400 f-bodys, maybe 2 or 3 TTA.
I will be there with #54. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for letting me know, that looks like a great show and worth a visit ...

As a spectator can I just show up and walk around and is there parking for none f-bodies as well?

Do any vendors show up and support the event?
 
Yes, everyone is welcome, there is plenty of spectator parking. Usually a few high performance vendors. Bakers also has some pretty good food available.

Plan to go there unless weather is really bad on Saturday. You still going?
 
Brilliant ... see you there ... I'll wear my white polo shirt with TTA and Indy logos on it ...

Just got back from the Detroit GP time trials (half day in the office luckily) ... had some rain but luckily I had a pass to the chalets so had some food and drinks ... pretty cool as I never been out to the Island ...

Very Nice, It looks like you are enjoying some Detroit hospitality.

We are planning to attend the Grand Prix on Sunday, taking the Corvette to the Corvette Corral right next to the track on Belle Isle. Hopefully we will get to do a track lap before the race.

See you tomorrow if we don't get rained out.
 
Too bad you decided not to go .. spend about 3 hours at the show and loads of really nice cars showed up ... also met 2 guys from this board however they did not have their TTA's with them this time around.

Great time and I then headed down to the Henry Ford museum / village which was great.

Jan, I know you were taking a pic. of the lambo door! Anyway looks like they are doing some fine detail work.:beach:
 
Of course ... I got some more pictures of the lambo-doors; I'll post them when I'm back home in a weeks time.

It looks like I missed a good show, however my daughter did attend with her 1987 GTA and took 1st place 3rd Gen.
Hope you enjoyed your visit to the Metro Detroit area.

Warren, Cool and congrats to your daughter (which 3rd Gen was here's?) ... stayed until lunch time then headed down to the Henry Ford in Dearborn.

Here's the photos I took during the morning ... loads of really nice cars.

Also met two fellows that are on this forum but can't remember their screen names unfortunately ... both have TTAs and one of them is the organiser of the event (or part of it) and owns the 1980 TTA in the pictures ... any chance you know his screen name on here (or have his email address)?
