#861 won't start

Just bought #861 3 days ago, it needed head gaskets, so i replaced them. When i was finished car started right up, ran for 10 minutes, i shut itoff and tried to restart and it won't. I have replaced ecm, coilpack and moduel,cam sensor, and several different chips. The car will strart on starting fluid and runs forever. I do not no where to look next. thanks tom

If the car STARTS with starting fuel I would suspect the fuel system being at fault. Check the fuel pump, is it out of gas, pump relay, fuse? Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

it has plenty of fuel, you only need to use starting fluid to get it to start. I am thinking that since it had a blown head gasket that there is a problem with the injectors.If i ground the injectors with a testlight they click, but you have to wait a few seconds for them to click again. So i am in the middle of replacing them now. tom

The injectors on these cars typically gum up on low miles cars that sit. I heard about low mile injector issues all the time. I would get a automotive stethoscope and give them all a listen. You'll be able to tell right away what ones are not working if any. Toss some 009's in them with a chip from turbo Tweak for the 009's and you'll never have to look back. I would also put a fresh fuel filter on the car. Driver side right in front of the rear wheel under the car. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

car runs good except you have to start it with either. Its like its not getting any fuel for startup. After you get it started it runs great.The only time i can get it to start on its own is when i put a set of 60lbs and a chip for a maft pro in it, But when i put the maft pro in it will not start again.

This is way off the wall, but it sounds like the fuel pump circuit is only completing with the oil pressure gage. The ECM is not turning the pump on on startup and you are losing prime in the fuel system. put a machanics style fuel gage on at the fuelrail test port and go thru your start up senarios and see when you get fuel pressure.

If you have a factory manual there are a number of circuits the work on the ground sid of the fuel pump relay coil.

I'm not sure on the 60 lbs injector unless there is a intermitant ground problem. since you had the heads off make sure all your grounds to the cyl heads and intake are on right.
