3.8 without turbo...?

i was just wondering what the 3.8 can produce without the turbo on it?

i know its a stupid idea and i would never try and do it but i just wondered how much the turbo really adds to these engines.

Well - 'if' you were going to build it that way, you wouldn't build the engine with the same compression or camshaft.

These kind of questions always come back to another question: "How much money do you want to spend?"

The turbo definitely adds substantial horsepower over a base 3.8 if the base 3.8 retained the same compression, etc, etc.
