This event is still on my oldest brother and my bucket lists. We'd motorhome our way there, and at 7 mpg towing, and $5 a gal for premium, that's at least $1500 in fuel alone, probably closer to $2k by the time you add in some mountains, and perhaps changing campgrounds once or twice. And that's just a bit too much right now. If fuel prices don't ever return to "normal", this is one event that may never make it out of the bucket.

There should be about 10,000 cars there. I registered near the early registration deadline in August and got #7,700 or so. Amazing event. I'm just driving the TTA down there and will stay with a friend in Bay Saint Louis. Cheaper my way. Hope you make it someday.
