Got hooked on blue MAF pipe hoses and IC hoses years ago and thought it looked good and stood out in the crowed ... which it did.

Anyway been thinking of swapping them all for black ones and ordered some earlier this week that I just installed this morning and must say I like this much better ... should have done this when I did my engine and engine bay ... anyway thought I would share the before and after shots I took as they might help others decide as well.

The black silicon hoses I got was 4 ply (layers) vs the 3 ply blue I used to have on there making the install bit more tricky as they are not as soft and "stretchy" so took a bit more effort to get them on there in some places ... and struggled with some of the T-clamps on the up-pipe as the 4 ply is also thicker and the clamps could have been one size up to easy install however in the end I got there :yes:

Highway Stars has the org. hose's and clamps, got them not long ago for # 308, it's going back stock, already have a NOS turbo on it...

The trick is to spray the inside of hose with WD-40, much easier, less blood

Highway Stars has the org. hose's and clamps, got them not long ago for # 308, it's going back stock, already have a NOS turbo on it...

Yep seen that and good price as well however they don't list them anymore ... I would have gone that route as well if mine where stock.

Flexfab makes/made (so the original manufacturer) them for nos4gn ... only the date code is whenever they made them (last ones I saw was a 2011 date code) and the part code on them is the GN part code (tried to get nos4gn to do them with the TTA code on there but they would not do that due to cost) BUT having said that seems like some TTAs left the factory with those and not the TTA code version for some reason ...

Yep did lube them but these suckers where tight ... so took some effort with some of them ...

Intake pipe is an aluminium one that Dan (Grumpy on here) had made years ago when he used to sell them ... elbow is the stock plastic elbow with the sensor in it and the filter is a K&N largest they have that fit down there (would need to look up the part number if you need it).

Plan I have is to do a "wall" of some sort around the filter keeping out the hotter engine air and keep it open towards the fender and front; so similar to what you see K&N selling for modern cars these days ... just need to get to it and do a template in cardboard etc.

Dan sold out years ago ... however I understand gbodyparts.com might get a similar one done later this year, there's a thread on here if you do a quick search ... hope he does bring them out as they are the best option for us I think.

Also the ARP stainless bolts I noticed in your pics, also add a nice touch. As in the top alternator bolt and the turbo shield bolts. Good stuff and I use them also!:clap:

Yep inside and out ... beats the rusty old bolts,studs,nuts on there ... here's a couple more pictures :thumbup:

And if you do use the t-bolt clamps for your silicon hoses ... here's a useful and nice touch you might want to add (I just ordered them for mine) ...
